Hello Senryu fans!

My name is Chelsey Calingo and I am the current Historian for the 2015-2016 year. I hope you like the new look of our website!

With the new website, we hope to bring you more content! Everything is also completely mobile friendly, so if you ever get the urge to see what performances we have in our lineup you can easily pull out your phone and check out our Performance Schedule. We’ve also added a new page on how to become a member of Senryu under the Members tab if you’ve ever been interested.

However, the website is still in the process of being updated, as you will see if you look under our Board of Directors and Core Members page. Our group has been very busy with school and so we have yet to find the time to update our roster for this 2015-2016 year! So keep checking back and I hope you continue to enjoy Senryu Taiko!…

Annual Intercollegiate Taiko Invitationals

It’s almost time for the Annual Intercollegiate Taiko Invitationals!

This year will mark the 19th event, which will be hosted by our friends at UCSD, Asayake Taiko.  The first invitationals was held in Stanford, CA among the three first collegiate taiko groups: Stanford Taiko, UCLA’s Kyodo Taiko, and UCI’s Jodaiko.  Now, there are 14 groups, some coming as far as Oregon!

There will be two free concerts, which are open to the public.

We are looking forward to expanding our taiko knowledge, meeting new and old friends, and just having a fun, taiko-filled weekend!…
